The online version of the SHIVA tool allows you to create your own knowledge map immediately.

For your first steps, we recommend that you start by consulting the video tutorials in the Resources/Library section.

The use of multiple keyboard shortcuts is recommended to speed up your use of the tool.
A full list is available by clicking on the keyboard icon on the right and can be downloaded from the Resources/Library in PDF format.

LIST OF SHIVA SHORTCUTS :

N | (n : new) Creates a new node (as a child of the selected node)selected node)
Delete | Deletes the selected node (with all its children)
R | (r : rename) Renames the selected node
E | (e : edit) Edits the elements of the selected node
H | (h : home) Select and centre the root node of the map
S | (s : save) Saves the selected node (and all its children)in .freedm
A | (a : admin) Switches to the administration map
I | (i : import) Import a map from a file
Enter | Centres the selected node and opens its map if it's a source
L | (l : login) Authentication (authenticate or create a new account)
G | (g : grid) Displays branch data in the form of a table
Ctrl + v | Paste the node (and all its children) as a child of the selected node
Ctrl + z | (Undo) Clears the last action: restores the map before the last operation
SHIFT + Backspace | Deletes the selected node and reattaches its children to the node's father
Backspace | (back) Returns to the node previously selected
Escape | Exits edit mode or configuration map or folds/unfolds the attributes panel
P | (p: path) Copies the node path to the clipboard
←↑→↓ | Selects the nearest map node in the chosen direction
SHIFT + ←→ | Selects nodes in cross-connection order
Ctrl + ←→ | Selects nodes in sibling order
Ctrl + ↑ | Selects the parent node
Ctrl + ↓ | Select first child node
Alt | Unfold or fold the selected branch
Alt + | Alt 1 : unfolds the selected branch by one level
| Alt 2 : unfolds the selected branch by 2 levels
. | Alt n : unfolds the selected branch by n levels
. | Alt 0 | folds everything recursively and resets the folding information

WARNING: you can switch to full screen when you launch the tool.

If you click on the icon when you are already working on a map in window mode, it will have no effect.

You will only open a blank map in a new tab.

Important:When you launch the page, you need to click at least once in the interface of the SH1VA application interface to activate it.

You can then use the multiple keyboard shortcuts to speed up use of the tool.

The icon at the top left of the site (3 horizontal lines) retracts the side menu. to retract the side menu.

This allows you to enlarge the display without going to full screen when using the SH1VA application.

You can create your cards manually or you can use from one of the many formats accepted for.
To do this, click on the context menu icon (accessible by right-clicking on a node) or simply drag and drop your file directly to a node from your file explorer.

The formats accepted are:

- SH1VA map in .freedm or .freedm.crypt format
- Xmind mind map (.xmind), version 2020 and later (version 8 pro not compatible)
- mind map in Freemind format (.mm)
- structured text file in Markdown format (.md)
- indented text file (.txt)
- bibliographic file (.ris)
- data file with separators , or ; (.csv)
- bookmarks file in format exported from a browser (.html)
- geojson file
- certain .json files

WARNING : SHIVA requires javascript to be activated on your browser.

It may be severely disrupted by browser extensions that block scripts, pop-ups advertising, etc.

If you notice that the SHIVA programme does not not launch completely when you start it up,
be sure to deactivate some of your extensions or your browser's anti-advertising your browser.
